I have a series of points on a 2D plane that can be modeled as a section of an Equilingual (logarithmic) Spiral. I would like to transpose the point coordinates so that the points lie on a straight line.
I have written a function that model the points on the circumference of a circle and then converts the point coordinates into polar coordinates (using cart2pol). However, the fit is not good enough.
How can I write a function that models the points as a section of a spiral instead?
