Hi, everyone,

I'm trying to learn more about statistics for research in a field with many
applications of statistics, and I'm wondering what you would recommend as
up-to-date, accurate textbooks on statistics that help build deep understanding
of statistical principles. I have seen the review article by Robert Hayden

http://statland.org/MAAFIXED.PDF

and want to make sure I'm not missing out on any good resources that may not
have been mentioned in that article.

Any and all suggestions on study of statistics would be much appreciated. Thanks
for your help.
