We have used the third edition of "Calculus and Analytic Geometry" by
Edwards & Penney (Prentice Hall, 1990, ISBN 0-13-111253-8) for several
years. We only bought a small number as the class size in our second year
Calc class (high school in Old Bridge, NJ) is relatively small. Now my new
supervisor wants to add a few copies to cover possible loss of books and
possible enlargement of classes. But the publisher no longer has it. Does
anyone here have copies of the edition named above that they no longer use?
I would try to persuade my supervisor to buy them used if available. The
publisher suggested calling colleges and bookstores to see if they have any
stashed away too.

Of course the alternative is to change books but there is no need unless we
end up with a class size 2 above what I have now (or lose 2 books) :-)

Thanks in advance.
