For example graph sin(2PI*11X) + sin(2PI*10X) on your grapher.

Then graph 2cos(PI*X) over it.

in this case x=2PI*11X, y=2PI*10X and x-y=PI*X

AArgh, again. I meant (x-y)/2 = PI*X
