Poor effort #1:

Every SAT and AP quadratic can be solved by factoring which saves time,
giving you more time for other problems.

Factoid (as our local TV station calls them): Of all possible quadratic
polynomials whose coefficients are less than or equal to 20, only 7.6% of them
factor.

(This of course is NOT offered in defence of factoring quadratics; just the
opposite.)
