Jerry Uhl has recently been attaching this quote to his messages:

Any fool can know. The point is to understand.

I think that as teachers we should modify it this way:

Any fool can teach someone to know. The point is to lead them to understanding.
(Or maybe "to help them understand".)

That quote of Einsteins' has been resonating in my head recently and I
thought I would share my thoughts.
