I am from Australia, and the nearest Acorn book is probably further away from me than WoopWoop, so could someone please (just briefly) enlighten me about the 4 graphing calculator skills that students are expected to be able to perform?
And, are graphing calculators being used mainly to develop concepts, via investigations, or are they replacing traditional skills? For example, would an APCalc student with a graphing calculator be expected to be able to sketch the graph of, say, (2x)/sqrt(1 x^2) _without_ a GC, by determining the domain of x, finding the yintercept, and looking at the behavior of the function near the values of +1?
