Change in AP Calculus Exams Format for Section II: May 2000--

In May 2000 there will be a change in the format of the examinations:
Section II will have two parts. On one part, a graphing calculator will be
required, and on the other part, no calculator will be allowed. This is a
result of equity issues raised by the fact that an increasing number of
students may be using graphing calculators with computer algebra systems.
Specific details will be available in spring 1999, when the "May 2000, May
2001 Course Description" becomes available.

THERE ARE NO CHANGES IN THE FORMAT OF THE EXAMINATIONS FOR 1999. The 1999
format will be the same as the 1998 examinations.
