Matlab doesn't start

Hello people,
I've problems with starting up matlab 2007b. I have the problem as descriped here: - "The MATLAB splash screen comes up and then goes away and MATLAB doesn't start"
This quote comes from the solution page for matlab 6.x: http://www.mathworks.com/support/solutions/data/1- 183DH.html?product=ML&solution=1-183DH
My OS is windows XP SP2
The problem started today. I didn't used matlab for about 30 days and today when I clicked my icon it didn't start up. Only the splash screen comes up and then goes away.
I've tried the solutions descriped at the page (first url). When trying to solve I've found out that I don't have a matlab.ini file at "C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\MathWorks\MATLAB\R2007b"
I guess it doesn't start because I don't got a ini file :? But how does that come then? I installed it twice but it still doesn't work.
Anyone got tips for me? Or a link to a solution page which is for matlab 2007b and not matlab 6.x
