I have it at work. I will e-mail the contract to you, and anyone else who needs it, on Monday.

That's great to hear Gen, would you happen to have a copy of the contract I could look at or steal? :)

We initiated a calculator lease program last year and it worked out really well. A few were damaged or lost, but those students either paid to have the calculator replaced or purchased a new one to give to the school. At the beginning of the year, we hand out a contract that needs to be signed by the student and a parent. Once we receive the signed contract, we issue the student a calculator and make note of the ID #. After the completion of this process, a spreadsheet is made listing each student and his/her corresponding calculator ID # - the internal ID #, not the one on the back. At the end of the year, usually the day of the regents exam, the teachers verify the ID numbers as the calculators are getting cleared. When a student hands in the calculator at the end of the exam, he/she receives the signed contract as a receipt. Allowing the students to borrow the calculator as a textbook will save the class time it takes to distribute and collect them AND they can take the calculators home to utilize with homework assignments. Parents were thrilled that we instituted this program! Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello All!!
Has any one instituted a lease program for calculators and had it be successful? We currently use class sets and our calculators are getting lost and damaged, and the students can't take them home. I know we would still lose calculators, but the parent will take responsibility . . . hopefully.
