An announcement "at the surface of things"

In order to celebrate this Year, 2009
I have displayed on line, with nice musical presentation for some items,
a "Crisis" catalogue

"at the surface of things"
Udai Venedem

Some highlights :

- on the theory of light, with Descarte's "Le Monde" (1664), Malus (see
below), and all important papers by Fresnel (the installation of wave
theory of light in 1816, the "tracking formula" in 1818 and the
characterisation of the transversal nature of light phenomenon in
- 1796 "Neue Entdeckungen", or the announcement by Gauss of his
construction of the heptadecagon : the very first paper by Gauss.
- a series of "Journal de l'Ecole polytechnique", from the first (1795)
to 1813, where to find some important memoirs by Cauchy, Fourier,
Laplace, Lagrange, Malus, Monge and Poisson
- another series of weekly "Comptes Rendus de l?Academie des Sciences
de Paris", with interesting articles by Cauchy, Darboux, Hadamard,
Picard, Poincare (his first "Analysis situs" papers) and Stieltjes.
- Hadamard's thesis (1892).
- Sophus Lie's "Theorie der Transformationsgruppen" of 1880.
