Following the lead of Mark and Carol (and since this particular version of
the listserve is about to expire), let me take the opportunity to announce
an opening for an Associate or Full Professor of Mathematics Education at
the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The details normally found in a
position description are currently "under construction" but interested
parties are urged to contact me for further details. The contract will
commence in August of 2001 but could be negotiated for an earlier start.

The Mathematics Education unit at UNLV currently consists of four
individuals: three with elementary/middle school education emphasis and
one with K-12 emphasis. Ideally, the announcement will attract applicants
with a either a secondary mathematics education or a K-12 perspective but
applicants with an elementary specialization will be considered.

Additional information regarding UNLV in general may be found at
www.unlv.edu

Thank you.
