Newcomers may not know that Dick Scheaffer is one of the main people involved in developing the AP Stwats. program.

I just did a review of Hand et al. for the Statistics Teacher Network. A review of both is in press for the American Statistician. I'm working on a review of the second edition of the Siegel text for STN. I won't claim my reviews to be the high point of the issues containing them, but reviews of such books are a mainstay of STN. I just looked over five years of back issues and there is all kinds of good stuff in there, mostly aimed at high school teachers, but often relevant to teachers at both lower and higher levels.
