Someone (obviously trying to depress me ;-) asked for the exact page where Brase and Brase go nuts. First let me say that I get so emotional about this book because I was once forced to teach for a semester from the second edition. There they go nuts on page 358 (problem 2). Here's what's depressing. They make the same error in problem 7 on the facing page. This was in 1983. Here is what is REALLY depressing. These same two problems are on pages 766-768 of the fifth edition (1995). --
