Today I received the first issue (Vol.51, No.1) of _The Ameriacan
Statistician_ under the editorship of Jim Landwehr. It contains a
number of items of potential interest to AP Stats. people.

A new general description of the journal lists five examples of items
appropriate to the Teachers' Corner section. First on the list is

Statistics and probability topics for high school
students, including Advanced Placement Statistics

The Statiatical Computing and Graphics section includes an extensive
comparative review of statistical packages for the Mac.

The Reviews of Books and Teaching Materials secion includes reviews of

the Siegel and Morgan text
Workshop Statistics
NCSS for Windows
The Data Set and Story Library on the Internet
