First of all, you may all be interested to know that a draft of the
Teacher's Guide to the Advanced Placement Course in Statistics is now
available through ETS. (email James Armstrong: jarmstrong@ets.org) I don't
know when the final version will be available but I have found the draft to
be extremely helpful.

I am also interested to know more about specific student projects some of
you experienced teachers have used in the past. Maybe once I start
teaching a statistics course, I'll think of a million possible projects,
but right now in the planning stage I'd like to hear from those who have
"been there". (The draft of the teacher's guide has one example of a
sample survey project.) Perhaps it's too difficult to explain in detail a
project via this listserv, so if anyone can direct me to a resource where I
could find some good examples, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks and aloha,
Christine David
