The American Statistical Association sells a 15-minute tape of excerpts from
the series "Against All Odds" called "What is Statistics?". I am not sure
how it compares to the first tape in the AAO series, but it sounds remarkably
similar, as it also provides over a dozen examples (from the series) of how
we use statistics to describe data, produce data, and draw conclusions.

The tape is $25 for ASA members and $50 for non-members (plus $4 shipping).
To order, call ASA at (703) 684-1221.

Josh Tabor asked about getting parts of Decisions Through Data
or Against All Odds without buying the whole series. Call
COMAP at 1-800-77-COMAP to inquire. The last I saw DTD was
available for $350 for the whole series and $99 for each of
the five hours of video. I'm not sure about AAO.
