Like Paul, I guess I'll chime in with information about the statistics program that I am associated with.
WINKS is a new Windows-based statistics program that came out in January. It is based on the KWIKSTAT (DOS) program that has been around for about 10 years. Although our primary users over the years have been scientists, about 3 years ago, a number of universities began using our program in introductory level statistics courses. We've worked with instructors at several of these universities to add new functionality to the program to meet the needs of their introductory courses. Also, we began some attractive student version pricing, which is less than many other stat programs -- beginning at $29 (srp) for the complete Basic version. Also, schools can order as few a 10 copies and get a free one year site license for all computers on their campus.
