In any case, I have three questions concerning the exam: (1) Will the 5 number summary use quartiles?
The differences over quartiles and hinges etc. concerns different ways of interpolating between two values. If I were writing the AP exam, I'd make sure the two values were EQUAL. Then all correct approaches give the same result.
(3) Is it likely that a student will be requested to find a variance without access to the calculator?
