Thank you to all who responded to my query about texts for the A.P. Stat
course. It seems that most of you are using Rossman, Moore and McCabe,
and/or Shaeffer.
I have not seen Rossman or Shaeffer and plan to get them within the next
few months. These all were on the green insert in my College Board Acorn
booklet.
I understand there are one or two new books out since that list was made
and these are supposed to be fairly good. I will be going to a College
Board workshop in about a month and will check if anyone there has heard of
these new books. The three listed above sounded more than adequate and I
am looking forward to using them. I am presently doing a statistics course
which is not at the A.P. level and do a fair number of "labs" etc. It
comes very close to the actual A.P. course, so I will have to look at the
enrollment for next fall and determine whether to offer a combined
Statistics and A.P. Statistics or offer them separately. Bev Austin
