Several people have asked about my earlier message on STICS, the
Statistical Test Items Collection System. I thought I had picked up
on the database on this list but perhaps not. STICS is a large
database of statistics questions collected in 1970 under an NSF
grant. You can download it at Georgia State University web site:
www.gsu.edu/~dscbms/ibs/ibsd.html. It is in text form with over 3003
pages of multiple choice, T/F questions. Prof Schott at GSU has
selected over 800 of them in his Intro to Business Statistics
Database which is linked with the above. His database was developed
to support his course which uses Brightman and Schneider's
"Statistics for Business Problem Solving". I am currently trying to
down load his IBSD questions to use as review exercises for the AP
test and trying to figure out a way to import the larger database
into MSAccess so it can be sorted, culled etc. The latter is where I need help.
