Questions have been raised about why we teach the normal approximation to
the binomial. Two points.

1. For probabilities involving binomial counts it is no
longer needed.

2. Tell me an easy way to approximate a confidence interval for a
population proportion without it. (It can be done, but I want an
easy method accesible to the average intro statistics student.)
