Statistics and Advanced Placement Statistics
Clemson University
Clemson, SC

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is Clemson University
http://www.clemson.edu/ , one of the sites of the 1997 T^3 Institutes held
by Texas Instruments.
Clemson University's Department of Mathematical Sciences
http://www.math.clemson.edu/ ,
and the Center of Excellence in Mathematics and Science Education
http://cemse.math.clemson.edu/ ,
will host both the Statistics and Advanced Placement Statistics Institute
in consecutive weeks.
These institutes are scheduled for:

Statistics: July 20-26, 1997
AdvStat: July 27-August 2, 1997

Scheduled instructors:
Statistics: Pam Chandler, Mathematics Instructional Specialist, Fort Bend
Independent School District
AdvStat: Pete Hayslett and Gail Burrill (NCTM President)

Information on both workshops can be obtained from the Center of Excellence
in Mathematics and Science Education
via the internet at website:

Spend two weeks in the mountains learning Statistics.
