Mary and Jon,
I tried Jon's method and it didn't work for my student version of
Minitab... so it may depend on the version... or maybe I did it
wrong.. anyone else???

You can do it using the BY option for the stem-and-leaf. You will have to have
the data stacked in one column with a second variable that keeps track of the
two (or more) groups.
