I graded the multiple choice section of the Integrated Algebra exam yesterday and couldn't help but notice a disturbing trend (at least for us): the number of multiple choice questions that the students got wrong. On an exam where 60 of the 87 raw score points come from multiple choice questions, getting many of them wrong can mean the difference between passing and failing or the difference between an 84 and 85. So clearly a goal for next year is to work on the students' multiple choice answering skills!
