Hello,

I just can't seem to wrap my brain around this one.

Imagine a column filled with marbles, all of the same diamter. What is the relationship between the volume of all of the marbles added togethor vs. the volume of the column, assuming the marbles are settled in the most efficient manner? Now how does that relationship change as the diameter of the marbles increase or decrease?

Here are the actual numbers... the column diamter is 10 cm and the marble diamter is 1 cm and 0.5 cm respectivly.
