I am looking for people who have some interesting ideas that you would like to share with others at the 2009 Annual AMTNYS Conference in Buffalo NY from November 12th to the 14th. I am chairing the Make-it Take ?it Room and would love to make this a wonderful memorable year for the room. I am soliciting people who have an interesting activity or activities to share. Perhaps you taught a student centered lesson where your students investigated the relationship between fractions and decimals, or have a fun probability lesson, a trig or geometry activity, or any other interesting ideas. If you would like to present your activity to a group of people in a very informal setting, this is the place for you. If you teach a college course and would like to give your students an opportunity to share an activity or activities they have created, this is the perfect forum. The proposal for the Make-it Take-it room is attached here and can be found at http://www.amtnys.org/meetings/09conf/makeitandtakeitproposal%2009.pdf
Complete a form today. Let?s work together to make this a terrific and memorable conference. Get your ideas to me soon so I can be sure to get you in the program!
