Here are some adjustments to the 3-8 testing.

Hope all of you are having a Happy Thanksgiving.

As always,

It has come to the Department's attention that some schools will be closed
for some school days or will have lessened attendance during the week of May
17-May 21 due to the observance of the Jewish holiday, Shavuot. In order to
give those schools an opportunity to administer the Listening, Reading, and
Writing subtests of the NYSESLAT to all of their English language learners,
the Department is extending the make-up dates for administration to
Thursday, May 27, 2010.

Please see the memorandums posted today "A Change in the Make-up Dates for
the 2010 New York State English as a Second Language Achievement Test
(NYSESLAT)" and the related "Elementary- and Intermediate-Level Testing
Schedule for the 2009-10 School Year, updated November 24, 2009" for
detailed information.
