Do screencasts suffer without footage of the lecturer?

There is a theory that screencasts like mine are harder for students to concentrate on when there is no video of the lecturer included. (See my blog post for some discussion of this. More comments welcome!)
I am now experimenting with using a webcam to produce a miniature synchronized video of myself, which is displayed in the bottom right hand corner of my screencasts.
See for my latest effort. Clearly I still have a way to go! But do people think that this mini-video adds or detracts from the overall screencast?
