As you may have heard by now, there is new Operating System for the TI-Nspire software and handheld v2.0. If you are currently using the TI-Nspire in your classes, you may want to hold off on updating until after the June Regents Exams as there are some slight differences in the functionality.
Additionally, after listening to many educators, Texas Instruments has created a new "Touchpad' for the Nspire and Nspire CAS to make it more user friendly. Not to worry for those who already have the Nspires as the new touchpad is optional and not necessary for the new OS.
As a promotion, TI is offering to educators a TRADE IN opportunity at selected conferences. You can bring one of your personal Nspires to the event to be traded in for either an Nspire or an Nspire CAS handheld with touchpad.
Things you should know:
* Only one per educator * Must have the Nspire click pad on the unit * Have do be done in person at event (colleague can not give you theirs to trade in for them) * Try to back up your Nspire prior to the trade in
Upcoming Events in March:
* March 13th 10 County Math Conference at Beacon High School * March 19-20th AMTRA T3 Regional Conference at St. John Fisher College * March 27th Hudson-Mohawk Valley Area Mathematics Conference at Clifton Park High School
If you can not make one of these events or just can't wait to get your hands on the new Touchpad, you can Trade in by calling 1-800-TI-CARES.
See attachment for more details.
Please contact you ETC to learn more about the Nspire Trade In and latest features of the new Operating System.
