I have recently installed the new matlab with mupad [7.10.0.499
(R2010a)] . I wanted to define
a function p(r,t), so i executed r = sym('r') in the mupad command
window. I tried various variations
of the same command, but i get Error: ')' expected [line 1, col 10]
all the time. In the help window,
i am not able to find this function. What am i doing wrong?

in any case, how do i define a function like p(r,t) * log [p(r,t)/
(p(r) * p(t)) ] in mupad ?
any help will be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
sid.
