Great article. The stress testing puts on teachers does not lend itself to this style of teacher. We need to be encouragers, not discouragers. That is why I like to use Math forum's PoWs, my students often do not get the correct answer but have fun exploring the math concepts. If math is always taught as get the correct answer then exploration of math is discourage. I think all teachers need to love their job and be competent in the subject matter, it is not only important for math:-)
