3RD ANNUAL NEW YORK STATE MATHEMATICS EDUCATORS? HALL OF FAME DINNER
NYSAMS Leadership Summit and NYSAMS Breakfast
Dear Colleague,
The New York State Association of Mathematics Supervisors (NYSAMS) will be
holding its 3rd Annual NYS Mathematics Educators? Hall of Fame Dinner on
Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Lillian?s Restaurant, 408 Broadway, Saratoga
Springs. Lillian?s is conveniently located three blocks from the Saratoga
Hilton and Conference Center, the site of the AMTNYS Conference, which
begins Nov. 11.
We invite you to join in congratulating this year?s honorees:
Dr. Frank Gardella, Exec. Director Hunter College Mathematics Center for
Teaching and Learning/ Associate Professor of Mathematics Education
Mr. Lynn Richbart, retired NY State Education Department - Mathematics
Curriculum Development and Assessment
Dr. Stanley Taback, Professor of Mathematics Education at Lehman College,
CUNY.
Together these men represent more than 140 years of dedication offering
the students and educators of New York State the best in mathematics
education. NYSAMS is delighted to honor these exceptional mathematics educators.
NYSAMS is hosting the Sixth Annual Fall Summit on Thursday, November 11th,
from 8am to 1pm at the Saratoga Hilton and Conference Center. The title is ?
Towards the Engaging Math Classroom, Factors to Motivate, Build Community
and Develop Persistence?.
On Friday, November 12th, 7:00 a.m. join us for NYSAMS Breakfast and
Annual Meeting at the Saratoga Hilton and Conference Center . Our speaker will
be Laurie Boswell, NCSM.
Please consider taking out an ad in our FULL COLOR Hall of Fame Brochure
which will be distributed to all attendees of the Hall of Fame Dinner on
November 10th, the NYSAMS Summit on November 11th and the NYSAMS Breakfast
on November 12th.

possible. If you are placing an ad we will need to receive it, via email, by
