For example, the system of PDEs arise from reaction-diffusion equations, and, at the interfaces where the discontinuities occur, I'd like to assign the following conditions:

1. The concentrations of the diffusible molecules are continuous.
2. The first derivatives of the diffusible molecules (with respect to x) are continuous.
