Dear Fellow Math Teachers,
Please consider helping us establish the Museum of Mathematics for all students to learn about the beauty and excitement of mathematics. This is definitely a gift that will keep on giving.
Caryl Lorandini

This has been an extraordinary year for the Museum of Mathematics. In the past twelve months, we have moved into our Manhattan office space, hired new staff, and shared the Math Midway exhibit with thousands of children, increasing their appreciation for math and deepening their understanding of its importance in our world.

In addition, we are within one million dollars of reaching our $20 million goal for the Founding Capital Campaign. This goal will allow the Museum to establish a home in Manhattan, and to open the only museum in North America devoted to math and its many connections.

Therefore, we are pleased to announce that the Founding Capital Campaign will be closing as of the end of this year. This is the final opportunity to join the distinguished group of Founders of the Museum of Mathematics and become a part of this exciting new venture that is succeeding beyond expectations. If you make a gift at the Perfect Number level or higher by December 31, you will be acknowledged as a Museum Founder, including recognition on a commemorative wall in our new location. Donations of any size help, and all other contributors by the end of the year will be acknowledged on the Founders' Wall as Individual Supporters of the Founding Capital Campaign. Note also that if you contribute soon ? until we reach our goal of $20 million ? your gift will be matched by a group of committed supporters at a rate of $1.75 per dollar donated. But every donation received by December 31 will become a vital part of the Founding Capital Campaign.

Indeed, with your help we can maintain the project's momentum and succeed at an even higher level. For example, reaching $22 million will enable us to become America's first museum with fully electronic, adaptive signage and exhibit explanations, allowing access to all of our content customized to visitor level and language. Making it even farther, to $25 million, will allow us to upgrade our lobby with a dramatic, kinetic mathematical exhibition, to create a fully immersive, three-dimensional, virtual exploratory environment, and to expand the geographic outreach of the museum. Most importantly, beating our target will establish the Museum as a high-achieving new institution, attracting top-quality partners and additional supporters for our mission. Please help us reach the next threshold.

Don?t miss the chance to be an important part of making mathematics accessible and fun for the thousands?we hope millions?of visitors the Museum will attract. Help us reach and exceed our goal, and secure your place as a Museum Founder.

Please take a moment to send us your gift by December 31st. Donation information is enclosed.

Thank you for your love of math, and for your enthusiastic support of the Museum.
