Textbook reviews

Dear list members:
Where can I go to see reviews of textbooks in calculus/precalculus?
This unavailability of textbook reviews is a dirty un-American commie plot to undermine informed choice of one of the most sacred things in our society: textbooks.
Considering that I must select a text that costs around $100 from the few that the very largest publishers see fit to send me, I think it's a shame. Even if I spent the time reading through the few I do get I'd still make a bad decision because they're filled with so much fluff and distracting
pictures that I get confused. <sigh>
I'll probably re-order the crummy book I used last year (Barnett/Ziegler/Byleen) though I don't like it very much. I'm so frustrated I'm about to do something really violent, like use a text by Click and Clack, the tappet brothers.
