Dear Colleauges,

We all understand that during difficult economic times, such as the ones our schools are facing today, it is often the case that professional development budgets take a tremendous hit. For this reason, The College of Saint Rose is pleased to announce the First Annual Technologies in Education Conference. This is a free conference open to all educators interested in the use of technology in education. We are aiming to attract not only technology enthusiasts, but also general K-12 Faculty, Higher Education Faculty, Librarians, and Administrators. More details, along with registration information, can be found on the conference website at Early registration is encouraged, as there are a limited number of registrations available.

The conference will be a two day event, May 16-17, held on campus in the Thelma P. Lally School of Education. Each day will begin at 9:00 am with a keynote speaker and will conclude at 4:00 pm with an open networking session. In addition to two informative keynotes at the conference, each day will include three sessions for attendees to engage in a variety of professional development presentations, primarily from peers who have something from the field to share. While most of these sessions will consist of one hour presentations, some will also include hands on workshops and poster sessions. Additionally, courtesy of our sponsors, lunch will be provided on both days.

Lastly, if you feel you have something you would like to present, we invite you to submit a proposal on our website. Proposals will be accepted through February 15, 2011. Since this is a new conference, we need your support in making it a success; presentations from experts in the field are always the best! Furthermore, we encourage you to forward this information onto your colleagues who you feel would be most interested in this conference.

We look forward to seeing you in May!
