Surface of an ellipsoid

I would write a Fortran code computing a part of ellipsoid surface
delimited by a couple of angular variables (e.g. geodetic latitude e
longitude).
I know other parameters identifying the ellipsoid.

I am trying use a Montecarlo method.
I don't know it is the best way.
I am interesting in computing surface by Montecarlo method (any links
to deepen this argument is welcome).
How do you suggest I should base my code'
