Wolfram|Alpha has partnered with question and answer service ChaCha. The free real-time Q&A service, available online at ChaCha.com and via mobile, now draws on Wolfram's curated data repository to provide instantly computed answers to questions on mathematics, demographics, definitions, geography, celebrity facts, and more than a hundred other topic areas.
Get Wolfram|Alpha-powered responses on-the-go by texting your questions to "ChaCha" (242-242) or by using the ChaCha mobile app:
http://www.chacha.com/everywhere/mobile-phones
Download ChaCha's latest iPhone app free from the Apple iTunes store:

STATISTICS WORKSHOPS FOR K-12 TEACHERS
http://www.amstat.org/education/workshops.cfm
The American Statistical Association (ASA) offers two workshops in conjunction with the 2011 Joint Statistical Meetings, July 30 - August 4, Miami Beach, Florida.
The Meeting Within a Meeting (MWM) Statistics Workshop for K-12 Mathematics and Science Teachers -- with grade K-5, 6-8, and 9-12 strands -- seeks to enhance teachers' knowledge and teaching of data analysis and statistics within the mathematics and science curriculum. This two day-long workshop will also provide hands-on, classroom-ready activities aligned to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the Guidelines for Assessment and Instruction in Statistics Education (GAISE) Report: A Pre-K-12 Curriculum Framework.
http://www.amstat.org/education/mwm
The Beyond AP Statistics (BAPS) Workshop, for experienced Advanced Placement statistics teachers, consists of a day of enrichment material just beyond the basic AP syllabus.
http://www.amstat.org/education/baps
Workshop registration, which does not require registering for the overall Joint Statistical Meetings, includes access to the conference's exhibit hall.
Sign up by July 13th to save money and to ensure your selections:
