According to NYSED's glossary for Regents Geometry (found at http://regentsprep.org/regents/math/geometry/GEOMETRYglossarySED.pdf):
trapezoid-A quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel sides.

Unlike A2T June 2011 #30 which contradicted NYS glossary, this question follows it.
