If H(x,y) is an NxN parameterized Hermitian matrix, where x,y are
real,
what are the maximum number of points at which the two smallest
eigenvalues
are degenerate in the xy-plane if m (<N) entries of H(x,y) are

(a) linear in x and y?
(b) quadratic in x and y?
