Here is my new video with Sketchpad http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X61nXjcNVfE .
I used Sketchpad here in the same way as I use it in the classroom with projector. It is about decimal numbers. It explains the meaning od the decimal numbers, the meanings of tenths, hundreths etc. and relationships between tenths, hunderths etc. Also, here is visual explanation that we can color e.g. 2.74 squares in two ways: 1st by reding decimal part at once (74 hundreths) 2nd by reading decimal part digit by digit (7 tenths and 4 hundreths) - both ways have the same meaning. This understanding is important for some facts about decimal numbers which we will learn later.
Of course, video is in Croatian, but you can find English version of sketch here http://www.antonija-horvatek.from.hr/materials-English.htm . Sketh contains instructions how to use it in teaching.
