I have an image in dicom extension and i want to visualize it in matlab.
My dicom file contains an image in Hounsfield Units.
Dicom info rescal slope =1
Rescale intercept=-1024
Window center = 800
Window weigth = 100

When i write
x=dicomread(filedicom)
imshow (x,[])

I can see the image . But is it the real image? Or i have to apply a linear transformation because of the hu scale?

Thank you
