The Lax-Wendroff method is described in Wikipedia twice

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lax%E2%80%93Wendroff_method
http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A9todo_de_Lax%E2%80%93Wendroff

The english entry in Wikipedia describe Lax-Wendroff method as a method with
half-time steps.

The portugese entry in Wikipedia describe Lax-Wendroff method as a Taylor
expansion with a smart substitution.

The question is: which definition is correct?

(In some special cases the two definitions can lead to identical
conclusions. But in general this is not true.)
