Correction to my earlier post

We were discussing the recent article stating that algebra should not be
taught, at least as it is now, and to whom it is now, in our high schools
and colleges.
There was then a follow-up that said the comments in that article were
incorrect. (I'm sorry I don't have the old emails handy to be more precise.)
Anyway that second article stated that welders use trig and algebra. I said
they didn't.
I received this private correction, and feel I need to share it (I haven¹t
seen it posted.)
