I am writing free format double precision numbers from a FORTRAN77
code. On an HP this produces:

5.620301869950883E-02 4.67501413717773 -.294649357843009
4.841167797181183E-02 5.52176019036051 -.505648682783363
4.475533534963239E-02 6.16055068675624 -.626646428003904

which Matlab reads in with : fscanf(in,'%f %f %f',[3 n]);

on a Sparc Ultra the "E" is replaced by a "D" and Matlab fscanf as Im
using it
fails.

This must be easy when you know how.. any suggestions gratefully
recieved (post
or email me).
Sandra
