A basic question:

My understanding of pls was that the number of latent vectors
is atmost the minimum of # inputs and # of outputs. However,
when I called pls with:
X is 200 x 16
Y is 200 x 1
choicelv = 4

[p,q,w,t,u,b,ssqdif] = pls(X,Y,choicelv);

it did find 4 latent vectors ?

Any ideas ?

Thanks
