DEBUGGING: Access variables when script exits with error

Hi!

Is there a way to access the variables of a MATLAB script at the moment when it
exits encounters a run-time error. I know, I can use debug mode but it's rather
clumsy and sometimes it is just a small problem which can be solved easily by
inspecting the variables.
