You can use the following code to search numerically as I don't think this equation can be solved analytically.
eq=16^(x^2+y)+16^(y^2+x)1; Plot3D[eq==0,{x,2,1},{y,2,1}] FindRoot[(eq/.x>1/2)==0,{y,1/3}] Manipulate[ContourPlot[eq==a,{x,2,1},{y,2,1}],{{a,1},0,5,0.1}]
I won't put my hand in the fire, but I think that your equation is satisfied only by one point. If you change the constant, then you can plot the contours.
