matlab 2012b hangs on Mac OS X

Hi,

I just tried out Matlab 2012b on Mac OS X 10.6.8 (snow leopard).

Unfortunately I find the User Interface hangs pretty often. I can trigger this by doing just a few clicks in the documentation or by trying to open the "Check for Updates" panel.

My Java version is the system-default "1.6.0_35".

Matlab 2012a installed on the same machine in the same account is super stable.

Anybody else seeing this?
